How can I remove the blank reason code from the "Reason" dropdown in Absence Records?

Summary:

1.We are trying to enable the reason dropdown so that whenever an absence is submitted, they need to enter the reason, and we have attached the absence reasons for absence type. As you see in the below first screenshot we are getting a blank reason code. We want to remove the blank code.

2.As you see in the second screenshot we need to add "select a value" in Reason box . I want to make the reasons drop down looks like this.
