Additional Satisfaction Event (Payment) Revenue Management

Our client has a requirement for both Receivables and Project Billing revenue to be cash basis. Since this requirement is for Projects as well, we decided to configure Revenue Management. We created an Additional Satisfaction Event rule using the event method of payment. Is the only way to satisfy the additional satisfaction event through the use of the Revenue Basis Data Import FBDI?
