End- date a user role

Summary:

We receive termination information from an external system, based on which we proceed to terminate the relevant employees. As part of the security requirements, we also need to remove the roles attached to these users.

Currently, when removing roles from a Fusion user, I am performing a role deletion. Is there an alternative method where we can end-date the roles, similar to how we set an end date for other records?

The reason for this request is that we receive termination information at the start of the day, but the employees usually work for the entirety of their last working day.
