Promotion within pay period in a timecard
Hello Team,
Needed to understand the best practice around promotion effective dates when using OTL integrated with Payroll.
Below is the use case:
Pay period - Dec 29 to Jan 11
- An employee gets promoted within a pay period on Jan 6 and moves from HCM Group X to HCM Group Y
- Employees in both HCM groups have different time calculation applied
- The Evaluate Group membership which runs daily in a live environment ( includes prior days) puts the employee in the new HCM Group from the day of promotion i.e.Jan 6
- As the timecard is already created the employee shows in new HCM group but the timecard calculation still remains the same as Employee was picked in HCM Group X at the starting of the timecard period which is Dec 29
