    • Support of the Department of Education’s December 27th ISIR updates

    On December 27th, the Department of Education released an update to Volumes 4B and 7 of the FAFSA Specification Guides. Those updates can be found here. After review, we determined the following updates would be needed for SFA.

    Volume 4B Updates

    • Updated Valid Content for the 2026 ISIR Correction Record
      • New Valid Content
        • 1 = Filed or will file a tax return with Puerto Rico or another U.S. territory
        • 2 = Filed or will file a foreign tax return
        • 3 = Did not and will not file a foreign tax return - earned income in a foreign country or employee of an international organization that did not require tax filing
