Is it possible to remove DomainName elements in outbound XML payloads via OutXMLProfiles?

Summary:

In an attempt to reduce message size on an outbound integration we removed DomainName elements from the XML template related to the OutXMLProfile on the External System, but OTM doesn't seem to honor it. Other elements that were removed in the template are being honored. Is this expected behavior or is there another way to remove DomainName from the outbound payload?
