Person number overwrite

Summary:

A client of ours has a key requirement to use a single identity management reference number which needs to be generated off Fusion, as Fusion cannot be the source – Fusion won't be their solution for student records and it's a key concept for the lifetime of a person's engagement at the business that they have the same number whether they are a student, a staff member, a contingent, a supplier etc. (though they are less concerned about suppliers and finance refs).

They want the Fusion person number to be the same reference as the externally generated and matched number from other records. However the problem is that as Recruiting Cloud is their chosen solution for recruitment, it absolutely must have the 'Automatic number upon final save' active in the enterprise HCM config in order to allow pending workers to pass from recruitment to core. So, once a number is generated by Fusion they want it overridden with either existing number (if that person is already working or studing in some way), or with a new number generated by their solution.

Howdy, Stranger!
