What process is used when new job codes are created so applicable UDT tables are updated as well?

We have many User Defined Tables that are based on job codes and would like a more streamlined process for updating the appropriate UDT(s) when new job codes are created or existing ones modified. Do you have a process or workflow that is successful that you can share? I see where Oracle delivers a mechanism for automatically adding job codes to a UDT but not all job codes should be added directly to each UDT.
