Impact of End-Dating Categories Updated to "Do Not Use" (DNU) for specific categories.

edited Jan 22, 2025 9:18AM in Purchasing 1 comment

Issue: The business user updated certain existing categories to "Do Not Use" (DNU), but these categories are still appearing when creating Purchase Requisitions (PRs). The goal is to prevent DNU categories from showing up during PR creation.

Solution: Categories were end-dated, which successfully prevents them from appearing when creating PRs. However, the business has the following questions:

  1. Can we end-date categories that have open Purchase Orders (POs) and invoices associated with them?
  2. If we end-date these categories, what impact will it have on the open POs and invoices?

Howdy, Stranger!
