Unable to receive automated emails alerts

We have an automated process that verifies whether each backup has been successfully downloaded to the target directory and sends email alerts from the MTN email ID (MTNB-reply@mtn.com).The process uses the following technologies:

EPM Automate
VB Script
Batch Script

Recently, we have encountered an issue where no success or failure emails are being received. Could you please help identify the root cause of this issue? Specifically, we would like to understand the potential scenarios where such an issue might occur.
