"cost component identifier" to generate acctng using mapping set for Component Substitution Variance

Can we use "cost component identifier" to generate accounting using mapping set for "Component Substitution Variance" under "Work Order Close" event class. Job Close variance accounting uses "cost component identifier" under mapping set to drive account and this is not the case with "Component Substitution Variance" which is causing accounting variance
