Oracle Lease Asset Number skipping

Hi,

We are using Lease Asset Auto Numbering where the standard document sequence is in use.

The first asset number generated as 1 and second asset 1001, and third 1002 and so on, which is not as per expectation where we would like to have all assets in sequential manner like 1,2,3 etc.

Due to above issue, Asset Numbering is not sequential.

As per Oracle Support, Gapless Numbering is not available (Standard Document Sequence is Automatic).

As per the idea raised (https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/842657/oracle-lease-asset-number-skipping), can some one share their experience, how they have workaround the situation to get numbering without skipping.
