numbering sequence

Summary:

We are planning to change the numbering sequence for PR and PO as per business requirement.

Currently the PR sequence is like "XYZ-12345"

We are planning to change to "XYZ-PO-12345"

I would like to understand the impact of changing the numbering sequence as it was defined earlier during initial implementation. Will there be any impact on in-process transactions? 

Are there any considerations/ recommendations we need to take into account in order to avoid any impact?
