wip cost adjustment is not happening after updating the provision completion

in Costing 10 comments

Summary:

Dear Experts Team,

wip cost adjustment is not happening after updating the provision completion.

Cost Profile > provision completion is modified from Value "Value using perpetual average cost" to "Accumulated work in Process Balances"

Scenario:

Work Order is created on 01st Feb 2025 - Stock Available =140 || Unit Cost = 1.50

Work Order completed on 01st Feb 2025 - Stock Available =0 || Unit Cost = 1.50

Work Order closed on 10th Feb 2025 - Stock Available =0 || Unit Cost = 1.70

In the cost account distributions, we have the WIP variance as (1.70-1.50)*140 = 28 is posted in cost adjustment.

For some other reason, Cost Profile > provision completion is modified from Value "Value using perpetual average cost" to "Accumulated work in Process Balances" and then the system does not post any variance.
