Global search bar: Is it possible to restrict the component visibility?

Hi team,
concerning a specific customer request, I need to investigate the opportunity to make the Global Search Bar visible just for an HR Role: is it possible?

What about the gear on right top? This can make possible to "Personalize the global search bar", however if I click on it no setting is showed.
Any suggestion or guideline?
