Cell text in FCCS at a parent account level (not only entity)

I would like to be able to comment on an account that is a parent account.

Based on a previous post here I have been able to replicate commentary at a parent entity by activating Parent Input and using Parent Currency and Data Input.

I would like to know if it is possible to have the commentary posted at a parent Account level.

For example I have a variance report with base sales accounts a and b where I can comment on each variance line, but I also want to give the user the option to comment on the Sales account total line for a base entity.
