Is ReplaceFirstEffectiveStartDate only possible to be used when setting up an earlier date?

edited Feb 19, 2025 10:28AM in HCM Data Loader (HDL) 2 comments

Summary:

Hi all,

We see for the location business object, it's possible to use the ReplaceFirstEffectiveStartDate attribute

However we are trying to update a location's first effective start date from 01/01/1901 to 01/01/2022.

We are getting this error: The effective start date can't be changed to a date that's after the original date. Either enter an earlier date or change the status to inactive.

Does it mean that replacing effective dates via ReplaceFirstEffectiveStartDate attribute is only possible when the effdate is an earlier one that the one existing?

Is there any workaround for this?

Kind regards,

Pilar
