kilometers (KM) as a unit of measurement for physical progress in a project, such as in construction or infrastructure projects where progress might be measured in kilometers completed (e.g., roads, pipelines, railways, etc.)

The requirement we are dealing with is for a fiber laying project, where the user wants to track the kilometers completed on a daily basis. For example, every day the work completed is measured in kilometers, and the user will enter the kilometers completed each day. The system should then track the kilometers completed and calculate the percentage of work done.
