    CPQ is integrated with FOM.

    In CPQ a customer can order 100 units of product X, but SCM availability for the product is only 80. There are no constraints or validations if the ordered quantity is greater than the available quantity, so the customer sends the order from CPQ to FOM.

    When in FOM, two things can happen

    1. if CPQ attribute Allow Partial Shipping = N, then FOM line goes in Scheduled status, followed by error because the lines cannot be split. CPQ however is not aware of this error, and the CPQ quote shows the line as Scheduled, with no indication in CPQ that the process has failed.
