Use Standard Accrual with Encumbrances accounting method though encumbrance not enabled

We would like to copy the Standard Accrual with Encumbrances accounting method and assign it to our Ledger. At this stage, we do not require Encumbrance and will not enable it.Could you please confirm if assigning Standard Accrual with Encumbrances without enabling Encumbrance would result in any accounting or performance issues? Additionally, we prefer this method to keep the option open in case of future requirements.
