Security on shared entities do not inherit from parent.

Summary:

We would like to arrange entity access through the second (management) entity hierarchy, that mostly contains "shared" base members.

After adding security to a region for a certain user (Descendants inclusive), the user will only see the primary members under that group. It seems that security is NOT applied to the shared members.

Is there a way to also apply the entity security to the shared members under an entity structure?
I cannot find anything in the admin guide or on this community.
