Peoplesoft FSCM: App Engine GL_YC limitations as compared to COBOL GLPCLOSE

Oracle has recommended to use App Engine GL_YC instead of COBOL GLPCLOSE for year closing, as a best practice.
We as an organization are currently in the phase of implementing above change, so that we can decommission the COBOL.
But during the test phase, we have identified that GL_YC Process Ignores 'Create Journal Entries' and 'Do Not Roll Forward Zero Bal' option, which were available in COBOL GLPCLOSE.
For us as an organization, both the config options 'Create Journal Entries' and 'Do Not Roll Forward Zero Bal' are very important, which we have been using for more than a decade.
