How is extended Precision different from Precision and which modules does it impact?

We can see the change in the Item Cost representation ut do we see the change or does it impact any other Modules? Is it for representation for Unit Cost of Material/Resources only?

We can see Precision for Currencies being used everywhere when we do the the Accounting of any sort in Receipt Accounting/Cost Accounting or AP/AR and GL.
