Can receipt accruals be written off for a partial quantity?

Summary:

In Receipt Accounting it seems that when selects an open receipt accrual for adjustment one can only write off the full receipt/quantity and not partial quantity of a give receipt in the environment we're implementing for a customer and I can't seem to find that functionality in any instances that I have access to. Is there something that can be changed to allow one to write off a partial quanity or should we put in a new "idea" for such a feature?
