enhanced timecard required Fields on project and task (OTL and Absence)

we have time and labor with absence showed in the time card.

We would like to go in enhanced timecard, but we are running in to a big problem.

We have required on project and task and want to keep it that way. But in the new enhanced timecard that means that we have to have a project and task on absence to.

Is there any way to have required on project and task, and still have absence on the timecard.
