Adding an item as BOM structure also as individual item

Summary:

We have a scenario to add an item as fixed BOM structure and as well individual item. When we update the BOM table with item details we are able to add fixed BOM structure but now the same item is not available for to add as a simple item.

Is there any way we can both options and how to enable it?
