With all vacation plans configured as front loaded, we aren’t allowing employees to go in negative i.e., we don’t want employees to take absence if their balance is 0.


Problem Statement:


we have the plan term configured as 1-Jan to 31-Dec. The accrual rate for the whole year is 120 which is 10hours per month irrespective of the date in the month. Let’s say, employee accrues 120 as of Jan-1 and consumes 80 hours but plan is getting end dated as of 31-Mar. Proration would result in 30 hours but 80 hours has been already consumed. With no negative balance allowed on plan, with this scenario, will the system calculates 30(accrual hours from Jan to Mar)-80 (absence taken) = -50. or will it results in error. Kindly advise if there
