Multiple values for attachment count column in Reconciliaton Manager (ARM)

I am showing multiple values (0, 1, 2, and above) for the attachment count column for a specific period. If I am trying to get the total number of attachments, should I get the sum of all values or just count the number of rows that are not 0? Thanks.
