Oracle ARCS - Creating a sub-folder in the #agentinbox

In Oracle ARCS, when trying to import a file from a subdirectory of the agent's inbox, the agent uploads the file to the inbox instead of to the data folder. Once that happens, subsequent runs will fail until the file is manually deleted from the inbox. Why is it uploading to the inbox instead of the data folder when coming from a subfolder of the inbox?
