Autocreate Intraclass UOMs - Calculate Runtime Transaction UOM Conversions with Generated Item Data

Summary:

We want to create the intraclass UOM conversion automatically from the packaging string. As per the the release notes - we should enable the opt-in - "Calculate Runtime Transaction UOM Conversions with Generated Item Data".

We have about 1 Million unique items with packaging string assigned.
Out of these 1 Million items, about 400K unique items have intraclass UOM created already.

Is there any other steps that we need to follow after enabling the opt-in ?
Will the system create the intraclass UOMs only for the remaining items ?
Is there any chance of data corruption ?
