Grade Progression settings do not allow for correct pay rate settings

When we use the Grade Rate Progression, we can amend the progression settings to either –

A)

  1. When you move to the next grade up the ladder but already have a higher rate of pay than the next grade offers, you will retain the higher rate of pay.

2. BUT, when you transfer to a new position with a lower rate of pay, you incorrectly keep the previous, higher rate of pay.

OR

B)

  1. When you transfer to a new position with a lower rate of pay, you move to the correct lower rate of pay.

2. BUT, when you move to the next grade up the ladder but already have a higher rate of pay than the next grade offers, you will be incorrectly moved to the lower rate of pay that is correct for that grade.

Howdy, Stranger!
