UK Minimum age for hiring school leavers for each country

We have a requirement to offer minimum age validation for hiring school leavers in the UK.

The restrictions are different for Scotland, England/Wales and Ireland.

Has anyone experienced this and come up with a solution -

England and Wales

You can leave school on the last Friday in June if you’ll be 16 by the end of the summer holidays.

Validation

16th birthday falls before 1st September, employee can be hired after the last Friday in June of that year.

16th birthday falls on or after 1st September, employee cannot be hired until after the last Friday in June the following year.
