How to put onhand lot quantity on hold due to quality inspection results

Summary:

We have a business case where the onhand qty needs to be put on hold if the quality inspection results are not accepted.

We have defined an Inventory type quality inspection plan which has Action rule, if the (Characteristic) does not meet the target value, then change the material status to Quarantine at Lot Level.

When we did the inventory inspection for the given lot qty, the onhand stock against lot still shows material status as Active in Manage item qty page.

Are we missing anything here, can somebody please throw some light on this.
