How we can set up a calendar event for a holiday as a half day

We have a request where we need to setup a calendar event as Half Day for few countries.

While creating a Public holiday calendar event in this Elapsed Work schedule, its not allowing with checkbox enabled for Half day for elapsed work schedule and throwing error.

We need a way to set up accordingly in the system to support the half day holidays for few countries and to ensure the employees are receiving the appropriate time off. The way they are doing it today is impacting the time they are taking and it's inaccurately reflecting in the system, causing administration to have to load .5 days back to their time they took.
