Request for Guidance on Backdating Hire Date and Impact on Employment Records

edited Mar 28, 2025 1:33PM in Human Capital Management 1 comment

The customer needs to change an employee's hire date from 02nd July 2007 to 07th February 2007. They have the following questions:

  1. Can we backdate the DOJ and onboard the employee as a new recruit?
  2. If we onboard as a new recruit, will it affect the deletion of existing employment records (15 assignment changes)? If so, how can we update those records?

We would greatly appreciate any insights or guidance from the users who have handled similar scenarios. Specifically, any advice on backdating hire dates and managing existing assignment changes would be invaluable.
