How to set up a Visa Expiry flag/prompt?

Is there a way we can put a flag on Employees/Contingents so that if we extend their Contract, we're prompted to check their visa?
Just so we have a check in case a colleague on a visa gets extended beyond their contract and subsequently can't fulfil it.
