View Object Definition for Element Input Value HSDL template

Hi,

I am looking for a way to dynamically filter a LOV for Element Input Values in a HSDL template, based on the Element Name specified in another column. For example if Employee Loan was selected as the Element Name, then the LOV for Input Value Name should show only the input values for that element: Total Owed and Amount (preferably only those displayed and user enterable).

I intend to use the Filter Criteria within the LOV tab in the template design area to deliver this functionality, however this section does not appear when I use a Table Value Set to fetch the LOV so I assume it is not supported for that LOV source. Rather than creating a Lookup of Input Values which would be time consuming and require maintenance, I would like to explore the possibility of using a View Object definition in the same way that an Element Name or Assignment Number column would do, as this enables Filter Criteria:
