Cycle count definition: How counts per year is determined?

Business Use Case: Cycle count is defined with automatic schedule with starting schedule date of Jan-25. Client wants to count high value items (Class A items) 4 times a year. Now if in month of Oct-25 ten new high value items are added into Inventory they will fall in Class A and should also be counted 4 times a year. But here for newly added items what is the year definition will it start from start date of cycle count or from the date when these new items were appended?
