Direct Connection from OIC over FastConnect

We would like to be able to call e.g. PaaS services in other clouds (such as Azure, AWS or GCP) from OIC Gen3 (Oracle Integration Cloud) over private networking (IPSec or FastConnect/Interconnect) without passing via the OIC Connectivity agent.

Use Case and Business Need (Required):

In a PaaS-only scenario it would be great to avoid having to set up (and be responsible for) an IaaS VM to run the connectivity agent.

Unfortunately, we get spurious errors in OIC when trying to point its adapters to addresses outside OCI and feedback from support is that cross-network private connectivity is not supported without the connectivity agent.
