Smart View retained numeric values issue

Summary:

New(ish) feature of retaining numeric values for invalid members is creating large issues for our end users. When they retrieve on an existing sheet, the old numeric values stay on the sheet even if the member name has changed or been removed. There does not seem to be a way to toggle this feature on and off. Is anyone else having issues with this new functionality or figured out a way to shut it off?

Would love to go back to only retaining formula cells. Right now having to move users back to 24.100.
