[object Object] error occurs in Request a Position Change

edited Apr 16, 2025 8:28PM in Human Capital Management 4 comments

The client uses a custom role to enable department HR Liaison users to be able to view certain menu items in the Workforce Structures page. The “Request a Position Change” action is the only option they have to submit a change to HRIS for changes to an existing position. They are not allowed to maintain positions or request a new position.

In a Redwood enabled environment, the page for “Request a Position Change” throws a [Object Object] error on the “When and Why” section fields.

The client has identifies a workaround to resolve the [Object Object] error with the Redwood page, the custom HRIS Workforce Structures role must have the “Request a New Position” function security profile privilege added to the role. However, at the same time this enables the “Request a New Position” menu option to be visible to the user, which they do not want.

Howdy, Stranger!
