Wave Search Order Type

Summary:

Recently we had an issue where our users used a wave template search to run waves based on item numbers. There were some old internal picking orders (REPL) that were in a Created status and these got allocated in the wave based on the item numbers. I resolved this by cancelling all the old REPL order lines.

My question is would adding our normal order types to the wave search have prevented this? And if so do I need to be concerned that legitimate REPL orders would be bypassed in some way?
