Mass update work order status, components and resources using VBCS

We would like mass download the work order data and mass update the status or component details or resource details using VBCS. We were able to update some of the work order header details like quantity, planned start date or firm flag, however, not able to update the status (say from unreleased to a custom status or released), or change some of the component details like quantity, supply type or supply sub-inventory etc…, and similarly to update resource details.
