How to address performance concerns when leverage gross sales, net sales, and COS at drivers

Summary of the EPBCS Driver Enhancement Issue:

The enhancement for the Gross Sales, Net Sales, and Standard COS drivers has been completed in the EPBCS test environment. These drivers now support calculations at the intersections of Total Department, Total Customer, Total Product, Country Level, and Base Brand. The issue with leveraging these drivers is that the data is input at base dimensions (4 of them) within the application. Due to that, upon submission, the aggregation of all 4 of those dimensions occur and the calculation for a relatively small amount of records takes 10-13 minutes.

Issue:

• Aggregating data across these four dimensions has introduced significant complexity, resulting in performance impacts.
