absences are double in the timecard

Hi is there anyone knows why Absence Recorded as Single in Absence Management Page but Appears as Double in Timecard? We had an issue about this, I know that the temporary work around is to simply delete the doubled row in the timecards, but are there any rootcause why it is happening?
