Compensatory plan expiration on fixed dates

Hi,

We have a requirement where the compensatory plan balance expires on fixed dates i.e Jun 30 and Dec 31st irrespective of any time they earned.

With the options that we have for earned expiration dates, there is no fixed date for expiration.

Currently, we were thinking of the workaround to have a fast formula to loose eligibility on Jun 30 and Dec 31st and put the disburse balance when they lose eligibility. However, we foresee issue when employees earn compensatory time off on Jun 30, they will not be able to log the time to bank for comp off .

Does anyone have any ideas or any workaround for this whole scenario of fixed expiration dates?
