Do the preparer and requester get notifications when the Update Preparer and Requester job is done?

I have performed the job of Update Preparer and Requester successfully. The new preparer told me they did not receive any notifications that they are the new preparer for the requisitions/purchase orders that have been assigned to them. Do the preparer and requester get notifications once they are assigned new PRs/POs through this scheduled job?

Who gets the notification when the preparer and requester are different?
