How use functional setup manager to rollback configuration

We are already using SCM Cloud in their production environment. We are planning to make some major configuration changes in the production environment. For example, in SCM, they intend to change the cost setup from standard cost to actual cost, they would like to prepare a way to revert it in case things do not go well.
I want to know if there is any mechanism available to back up the configurations and restore them to their original state.
