No longer able to have payment start date before lease amortization date?

Summary: For Migrated leases, it previously appeared that you could have a payment start date before amortization date as long at it is after the lease start date. Now, we are getting errors if the payment header start date is before the amortization date. Can you advise if this really was a recent change and if there is an updated best practices?
