Which of these would be a good practice while hiring an existing dependent as an employee

a. Use the same person number and convert to employee by adding a work relationship

b. Override the duplicate detection and hire with a new person number.

Appreciate if you could suggest pros and cons of each highlighting how you may hire spouses or dependent children, We do have benefits for children that may continue and interfaces sending out dependent and person details to third parties.
